September15Today in 1975, Pink Floyd released their ninth stuio album, Wish You Were Here.

The album, which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, centred around themes of absence, the music business and former bandmate Syd Barrett’s mental decline.

Wish You Were Here peaked at No. 1 in the U.S. and the U.K., and spent a total of 84 weeks on the charts.
