‘High’ was – and remains – a fan favourite off of Saidah’s debut album, (S)Cream. In addition to being a great song, the video serves to fuel Saidah’s crowd-funding campaign for her sophomore album, titled RedBlack&Blue.
The campaign is not just to get a new album made; it’s a truly collaborative process between Saidah and her fans. Fans who donate to the project will be able to vote for the tracks that they want included in the album, and will be able to experience a variety of Saidah-exclusives, including signed merchandise, back-stage handouts and unique artwork.
In addition, 10% of the funds that exceed the crowdsourcing goal will be donated to The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in honour of Saidah’s mother, who suffers from dimentia.
