The track is off the band’s second full-length record, Limits of Desire, which was released earlier this year.
The video features short clips of summer happenings – road trips and beach days and camp fires. . . the perfect visual depiction of the track’s carefree tones and warm vocals.
Director Nick Bentgen says, “Josh [Kolenik] and I talked about putting together a vibrant travelogue featuring young people throughout the American South and Southwest. I wanted this video to feel like flipping through a scrapbook of snapshots – a collage of raw, reckless moments.
“I drove all over Arizona and Tennessee with a small crew of filmmakers and we chased an experiential, documentary mode of production. We met kids at a rodeo in Arizona and went 4-wheeling with them, we crashed college parties in Memphis, and we got our hostess at a Chinese restaurant to be one of the stars of the video.
There is also a live version of the video, which features a live recording from 285 Kent in Brooklyn and Ovvio Arte in Nashville. Watch that video here.
Small Black is currently in the last leg of their European tour, and are set to play the Fun Fun Fun Fest in November.
