The Canadian Music Week festival, which is held annually in March (though they’re shifting to a May schedule for 2014) has been nominated for the Yearly Music Convention Awards (YMCAs).
Now, I didn’t know that the YMCAs were a thing until I got a press release from CMW announcing that they’d been nominated for Best Awards Show (for the Indies) and Best App (which, despite the festival having ended, I still have). Either way, the YMCAs are pretty cool – and Canadian festivals are amazingly well-represented.
The East Coast Music Awards in Halifax are nominated for Best Hotel or Convention Centre, and M For Montreal is nominated for Best Networking, Event, Trip or Service and Best Regional/Smaller Festival.
Anyway, you can vote for CMW – and you should; they’re one of the festivals that has supported Raz Mataz from its start – here.
