at Indie Week: Frankie McQueen
Bio: Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Frankie McQueen succeeds in raising pulses and causing voluntary whiplash. They take a blues-heavy, visceral rock set and punctuate it nicely with the occasional lighter-flicking ballad. Getting back to the roots of hard rock is no problem for Frankie, but we’re not dealing with any Black Sabbath cover band. Frankie McQueen seamlessly blends classic rock with the contemporary sounds we crave. Not afraid of taking risks, this band is constantly evolving and tweaking their sound in a great way. Graveyard, Black Sabbath and The Foo Fighters are just a few of their biggest influences. This hard working, hard hitting group will leave you with the taste of bourbon in your mouth.
