March 12, 1996

On this day in 1996, KISS released KISS, MTV Unplugged. Recorded live on August 9, 1995 with all original band members, it is said to have kicked off the band’s long-awaited reunion tour that comprised of the original four, which had not happened since 1980. It was also the first time Ace Frehley and Peter Criss would share the stage with their replacements during their absence in the ’80s, guitarist Bruce Kulick and drummer Eric Singer.
