On this day in 1986, Madonna’s album “True Blue” was released!

Recorded between December of 1985 to April 1986 at Studio Channel Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California, the album was produced by Madonna, Stephen Bray, and Patrick Leonard. The album includes the popular hits “True Blue”, “Papa Don’t Preach”, “Open Your Heart” and “Live To Tell”. Madonna co-wrote all songs on the record.

The album was inspired by and dedicated to actor Sean Penn, Madonna’s husband at the time.
