The Legendary Golden River Show Band floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee with “The Halfway”

The Legendary Golden River Show Band may be a bit of a mouthful, but they’ve got a lot more to express with their second EP, Wall-to-Wall and Tree Top Tall where “The Halfway” comes from.

Previously, the band was recognized by their debut EP, cutely named Greatest Hits, Volume II, last year. “The Halfway” is their song-and-dance to get people excited for the new release.

LegendaryGoldenRiverShowBandAnd a hell of a dance it is. This video goes retro with the 1983 show “Manimal” (a show I thought no one today really remembered) and a montage sequence of the protagonist learning how to master martial arts with animals. Namely, he watches the equivalent of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. The video itself looks fan-made the way the music is slapped on. The song itself is pretty great though with a ‘60s vibe instrumental and a slight echoing filter to the vocals. It’ll be fun to see what other videos they come up with.

Don’t let The Legendary Golden River Show rush by, catch up with them on their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter @hungry_records. You can also get more of a profile on them on their Hungry Records web page.
