March 28, 1982
On this day in 1982, David Crosby was arrested in San Diego for driving under the influence and possession of Quaaludes, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and an unlicensed .45 pistol.
When police asked why Crosby was carrying a gun, he said two words: “John Lennon.”
In 1985 Crosby was arrested again for drunken driving, a hit-and-run driving accident, and possession of a concealed pistol and drug paraphernalia. Crosby was arrested after driving into a fence in a Marin County suburb.
Just six days ago, on March 22 of this year Crosby hit a jogger in Santa Barbara. Crosby claimed the sun was shinning in his eyes and he was unable to see the man.
