February 5, 1967
On this day in 1967, the British tabloid News of the World named Mick Jagger in a story about drug-taking pop stars.
The story claimed Jagger had taken LSD at the Moody Blues’ home in the U.K. Jagger sued the paper for libel in what would become an on-going feud between the News Of The World and The Stones.
News of the world was notorious for tipping the police off throughout the years; six days later Keith Richards’ Redlands home was raided.
