December 29, 1999

December29Today in 1999, three ferrets – named Beckham, Posh Spice and Baby Spice – were used to lay power cables for a rock concert in London.

Workers were not allowed to dig up the turbo at the Royal Park, and rods were unable to push the cables through the tiny tunnels. So, the ferrets were dressed in small nylon harnesses, ropes and cables were attached, and the ferrets were released in the tunnels.

The strange workers were running cables for a New Years’ concert that featured Simply Red, Eurythmics, and Bryan Ferry.
