Dec20Today in 1999, Hank Snow died.

The Canadian country legend released more than 100 albums over his career, and earned more than 70 singles on the Billboard country charts between 1950 and 1980.

Snow was also a regular at the Grand Ole Opry, and in 1954, he convinced the directors to book a new singer – Elvis Presley.
