April29Today in 1963, publicist Andrew Oldham and agent Eric Easton signed a management deal with The Rolling Stones.

The agent and publicist bought the rights to the band’s first recordings for just £90.

They also convinced keyboardist Ian Stewart to drop out of the lineup and become the band’s road manager, though he would still play piano at the back of the stage.
