September1Today in 1977, Blondie signed with Chrysalis Records.

The band had bought back its contract with Private Stock in order to sign with Chrysalis.

The label’s first order of business was to re-release Blondie’s self-titled debut record, which would go on to sell millions of LPs, including ‘Parallel Lines’, ‘Eat to the Beat’, and ‘Autoamerican’.
