Phosphorescent released Muchacho De Lujo today; you can stream it here. The album is the deluxe version of the band’s 2013 Muchacho album. The two-disc set features bonus material from a live show at St. Pancras Church in London.
Many songs feature lovely rough-around-the-edges vocals and neat country/folksy sensibilities. The beauty of the new release, however, lies in the fun banter you get a show; it connects you to frontman Matthew Houck in such an intimate way, he could be playing in your living room for all you know.
Starting in November, Phosphorescent will be touring Europe before a four-date stop in Brooklyn at the end of December.
