I had a chance to catch up with the boys before their performance.
The Sheepdogs are a little sleepy after returning from the South by South West festival in Texas, and they have to catch an early flight tomorrow, off to Australia.
Things really do tend to take off when you win a contest to become the only unsigned band to ever grace the cover of the prestigious Rolling Stone Magazine.
For the tour they just finished up, the band acquired a new keyboard player (frontman, Ewan Currie’s own baby brother). They’ll also be recording their highly-anticipated follow-up to 2010’s Learn & Burn with the Blacks Keys’ Patrick Carney.
At this year’s 2012 Indie Awards, part of The CMW festivities, these Saskatoon boys won all four awards that they were nominated for, including Favorite Live Artist, Group of the Year, Favorite Rock Artist of the Year, and Favorite Single of the Year.
